The Roche Center is honored to have the opportunity to share the research and initiatives with the Catholic School community. The TWIN Design Team in particular is pleased to move forward the complex conversation about culturally and linguistically diverse students, teachers' communities of practice, and the sociocultural context of the TWIN schools. The work being done by the TWIN schools and the Design Team has implications not only for the schools themselves, but for the future of education generally. Students from CLD backgrounds deserve the best education we educators can provide them, as just every student does. The two-way immersion approach provides a powerful set of skills in an affirming environment that sees the students' contributions as assets, not deficits.
