Many TWIN principals are finding the need to prepare their veteran and new teachers and staff members on TWI, the TWIN initiative, and other related matters. An excellent resource that many members of the TWIN community have used before comes from the Center for Applied Linguistics (CAL) and researchers Liz Howard, Julie Sugarman and their colleagues. The Two-Way Immersion Toolkit has been made available online by the Education Alliance at Brown University and CAL. This resource provides comprehensive and detailed information on implementing and maintaining a TWI program. Information on instruction models, lesson plans, and parent involvement is included.
