The Seal of Biliteracy advocacy group maintains and updates this map as it changes frequently. EdWeek Journalist Corey Mitchell has recently reported that the Seal will be offered in both North Dakota and Wyoming starting in 2019.
The TWIN-CS Network may want to keep this map in mind as plans are made for the near and long-term. Are the students working towards a level of proficiency that will allow them to achieve the Seal by the time they graduate from high school? Are local Catholic and non-Catholic high schools that will receive these students ready to offer the next level of dual language instruction that the students will need when they leave the TWIN-CS network? How can TWIN-CS members be part of the ongoing discussion around the Seal and dual language instruction generally? We at the Roche Center know that the TWIN-CS has much to offer, as they are part of a important, national conversation.
