Our member school, All Souls Catholic School, held a bilingual Olympic Day celebration last week! According to the school’s Facebook page, “Students worked collaboratively in multi-age teams [and] designed bilingual posters,” working toward their goal of becoming global citizens. These bilingual posters included fun facts on Olympic countries and were worked on in teams of multilingual, multicultural, and multi-age students! Some countries included in these posters were Norway, Cuba, Mexico, China, Germany, Brazil, Greece, Spain, USA, and Korea, truly mapping out the globe with one uniting celebration.
In TWIN-CS, we believe that becoming a global citizen is a gateway for tolerance and understanding, values which speak to our Catholicism as well as our roles as educators. The students at All Souls Catholic School are well on their way to becoming productive and compassionate citizens of the world and we are so happy to follow them on their journey!
